President of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) Samir Majoul met, Wednesday in Tunis, with President of the Association of African Economy and Development (AFRECO) Tetsuro Yano, who is visiting Tunisia, on the holding of TICAD 8 on August 27 and 28, 2022.
Majoul stressed the importance of taking advantage of this important meeting to promote the rapprochement between representatives of the private sector of both countries.
The President of the UTICA also stressed the need to support African efforts to fight against the repercussions of the pandemic Coronavirus and the Russian-Ukrainian war especially in food security.
The Japanese official affirmed his association's interest in Tunisia and the benefits it offers in several sectors noting that Tunisian projects are being studied by the organization.
He also highlighted the efforts made by AFRECO, saying it works to establish fruitful relationships between Japanese and African investors.
