The Tunisian Ministry of Family, Women, Childhood and the Elderly, in partnership with UN Women organizes the first side event to be held on the sidelines of the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8), titled “Women actors of climate resilience and inclusive development”.

The event will be held on August 19, 2022 starting 9am in the Hôtel Acropole, Les berges in Tunis, in hybrid format and will be accessible to the public through the following link: click here

The parallel event will also be an opportunity to discuss ways of developing cooperation and strategic partnerships between African countries and Japan, and to adopt research-development approaches in its relationship to attracting Japanese investments.

There will also be discussions regarding opportunities for triangular cooperation to support women's entrepreneurship in technological innovation projects, as well as the readiness of African countries to mobilize green finance in support of climate change mitigation and adaptation goals and in the framework of climate policies.
