Tunisia
Any foreign national who enters Tunisia must hold a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry and a visa when required. For countries with Tunisian consular services on their territories, they must prepare their paper with tunisian consular before 15 days from the date of travelling. For nationals of countries where there is no Tunisian diplomatic or consular representation on their territory and in the event of travel difficulties at the headquarters of a Tunisian diplomatic representation covering the country of the applicant, it will be possible to issue them a visa in Tunis Carthage airport. For this, a verbal note will be issued by the Tunisian embassy covering the country concerned confirming the agreement of visas to the members of the delegation upon their arrival in Tunisia.
This note verbal does not guarantee its acceptance by the airlines and the competent authorities of the countries of departure and those of the transit countries. In addition, in order to accelerate the procedures and facilate the receipt of visa application files for Tunisia, an email address has been dedicated for this purpose: dfe1@interieur.gov.tn
The organization of large-scale gathering events such as that of TICAD 8 still remains a risk factor for the transmission of epidemic-prone diseases. Thus, a health protocol is proposed to guarantee the smooth running of the event and safeguard the health and well-being of all participants. This health protocol includes two measures:
The city of Tunis has public and private health structures where guests and participants can receive care, if necessary. Medical antennas and an ambulance service will be installed to cover all the summit sites, they will be available 24 hours a day during the event period.
For guests and participants who are under medical treatment, they are required to bring their treatments with them with a medical prescription in case of need for renewal.
Participants are responsible for all costs related to the use of health services (apart from emergency care provided at the event sites). Also, it is recommended that all foreign participants have personal health and accident insurance (for possible repatriation).
